Trouble In MSNBC Paradise As Donald Trump Attacks Morning Joe Scarborough
The fact that Donald Trump is spending his afternoon attacking Joe Scarborough instead of preparing to potentially be president speaks volumes about the character and priorities of the presumptive Republican nominee.
The presumptive Republican nominee isn’t discussing policy or laying out his blueprint for America’s future. Donald Trump is spending his afternoon tweeting at a morning show host because he had the gall to discuss the potential of a Republican mounting a third party challenge to Trump.
Donald Trump demonstrated that he is a terrible presidential candidate, but he is a master Internet troll.
If you want to get under Joe Scarborough’s skin on Twitter, all you need to do is mention his show’s stagnant ratings and that CNN’s New Day is gaining on Morning Joe.
No one, outside of Trump propaganda minister Sean Hannity has given the Republican nomineemore favorable cable news coverage than Morning Joe. Yesterday, the Morning Joe team got defensive when director Rob Reiner pointed out how they don’t pin down and press Trump in their interviews.
Trump’s thin skinned whining about Scarborough reveals a great deal about how he views the media. Donald Trump doesn’t appear to believe in a free press or freedom of expression. In Trump’s view, the media only exists to compliment Donald Trump.
The point isn’t what Trump said about Joe Scarborough. What is important is what this behavior says about Trump’s character and his fitness for the presidency. With each tweet, Trump reveals himself to be a petty man who is consumed by concerns about ego and childish self-interest. In other words, Donald J. Trump is not the kind of person that voters should want occupying the White House.
